If I wanted to make an external drive out of this to back up photos and for Time Machine on a Mac, what enclosure would I want to get to make sure I get the best speeds/performance?

First time building my own drive after owning a few Samsung T5s and T7s that I'm ready to move on from

I was looking for the same thing, this seems like a good candidate. A friend told me he even boots from one of these on USB C and it has workable speed. I don't know how to post a link, it didn't convert to a link when I posted. So here is a picture. Or search for USB c NVMe enclosure

I've been seeing ads for these enclosures but I'm worried about bottlenecking speed of the drive through the enclosure itself. I don't know what specs to look for in an enclosure to ensure that I don't have a drive's speed wasted.
