One of those reviews of of "L' glass lenses is with the Canon 400 f2.8 weighing over 6lbs and a list price of $11,999. Pro Tip of the Day: If you can afford glass like that you'd probably be springing for a $600 monopod, not $60.
Just know anyone using better lenses that have some weight (cost) to them, this monopod seems to not be sturdy based on multiple reviews. Was almost in for one, but after reading several reviews of people with L glass lenses, this thing seemed to have questionable long-term quality.

Amazon matching the B&H Photo deal [bhphotovideo.com]

If you have the Payboo card, you save on the sales tax as well.

Almost pulled the trigger b/c of the Manfrotto name. However, the flimsiness mentioned in the reviews is giving me pause. Anyone with first hand experience?

The "Manfrotto name" isn't as good as their prices suggest. Way overpriced for what you get! Benro or Siriui are a better bang for buck

This thing has a tiny bottom leg. It's made of the same material as the Titan sub. If you're planning on putting heavy glass on this leg, be prepared for some tragic results from your photos.

A plastic flip lock on my Manfrotto tripod broke from light use. I'm not impressed by the brand.

Huh, I wonder if rock climbers could adapt this to make a carbon fiber stick clip.
Here is the expensive, super packable version

Oh yeah, I completely agree and threw out that stupid review! No one in their right mind cheaps out on that expensive of equipment.

I know for my r6, even the 24-70 2.8 lens is pretty heavy. If using my mirrorless converter and 1.6x extender on my 70-200 2.8 gets fairly heavy.

There were other reviews of people saying the rubber foot tore off as well, which is concerning.

I need a monopod by just haven't pulled the trigger. So I clicked this link, read some reviews, and then bought the Amazon Basics for $22. Because I actually needed a monopod but kept forgetting.
