Red Bull is kinda weak compared to its competitors now. Only contains 80mg of caffeine compared to Celsius's 200mg.
Not everyone wants to feel like they snorted an escalator rail worth of cocaine before stepping into school/work
Red Bull has around a cup of coffee 80-100mg
Very few jobs/school necessitate drinking 2 cups of coffee back to back
Also if you are above 40 years old (even if you are the picture of health) good luck rolling the dice with your heart drinking 200 mg of caffeine multiple times a week
Maybe, but they did remove erythritol and only contains 80mg caffeine. When coffee drinkers accuse me of drinking poison I ask them how much caffeine is in their healthy all-natural coffee (loaded up with sugar of course) and they have no idea. Other energy drinks that try to brand themselves as healthy (e.g., Celsius) contain 200mg and up to 300mg in some variants.
Also not sure how much worse Red Bull can possibly be than legacy soda products (Coke, Pepsi, etc.) or even the local farm's bucket of sugar equivalent iced tea that comes in those cute mini gallon containers given the quantities of these drinks people guzzle in a day.
If Red Bull called itself Purple Cow instead and sponsored farmers markets people wouldn't have this knee jerk reaction by calling it poison.
