I think the reputation they have is that they are heavy on mixer, light on alcohol.

On the other hand, they are $1, served to your table at a restaurant/bar and I guess come garnished with a gummy brain which is something.

I've never bought any of the $1 drinks, so i was just curious. Smilie And I haven't been to an Applebees in a good many years. I agree with you, and for $1 I wouldn't expect much. Thanks for the reply! Smilie

By that logic just about every beverage would technically be expensive water. A 1:4 ratio you'll still have a higher ABV than a typical beer. Add in all that extra sugar sugar and you'll definitely feel it in the morning.
