About this game:
- Play as Princess Zelda to save the kingdom of Hyrule in a brand-new The Legend of Zelda adventure: Team up with Tri and use the Tri Rod to create "echoes," which are imitations of things you find in the environment
- Create echoes like water blocks to reach new heights, or monsters to fight at your side in combat: Bind objects and monsters to make them move with you—or Reverse Bond to follow their path instead
- Use the mysterious sword to become a powerful swordfighter for a short time: Explore an expansive and diverse Hyrule full of quests and minigames
- Delve into deep dungeons: Many of which are in the Still World that lies on the other side of the rifts

On top of that, it has serious performance issues for a top down side scroller. Frequent frame rate drops and long screen loading times doesn't feel like a full priced game's worth of effort went into making it.
This game plus the mediocre Mario Party release for the Switch have finally made me stop assuming all Nintendo games are great and instead wait for Metacritic reviews to roll in.

There is a mode which Zelda switches to that turns her into Link for traditional combat, but it's restricted behind an energy bar that lasts 20 seconds for most of the game and doesn't run much longer after getting all the upgrades.
That, to me, didn't feel as bad as the late game side quest which gives you a second set of things to spawn by way of a "wind up" mechanic. They seemed like they were meant for bosses, but would break so easily.
