I bought one of these ... in late 2018. Its a pretty old model, and colors washed out not very bright. Lot of better monitors out there for anyone wondering even at this price

I honestly used it for coding so yeah its not so bad on just text, but movies / surfing the internet its noticeable especially if you have say a macbook screen next to it. Though I remember paying $400 for this when I got it, so at least its cheap now. Brightness is in the low 200 nits, dont use it in a bright office.

I double checked and you are right. The UJ59 is what I had and reviewed. Not the UJ590. Subtle difference in model numbers, **** me.
