I have these. I love them. Great sound quality, battery life and active noise cancelling.

Can't imagine that $200 buds can be 4x better.
I would either get cheaper buds like these or spring for the AirPods Pro 2.

You're essentially paying for a sound profile/frequency response and features. Apple has a great default sound profile that works for most people and makes voices sound tremendous for video. Their features are top notch and reliable, plus they're built really well.

These are a good budget/midrange option that do most things well enough. EQ them if you need a different sound.

Is there a way to mute/unmute the microphone from the buds, while being on zoom away from the desk? (special taps, dedicated switch or whatever)

I don't know how other wireless earbuds compare, but my left side anker life P3 earbud completely failed one after infrequent light use over 1.5 years.

Is that even something I should attempt to replace? I have some screwdrivers and cell phone repair type tools but it's such a small device.

I have these and love them. Sound quality, call quality, mic, noise cancellation and connections are all great. Syncs immediately to my iPhone. I prefer them over AirPods.

Get some new tips. The ones that you can crush like an earplug are great.
Do you have the link of those tips?

Other buds have guides to replace the battery, so not impossible. Check YouTube to see if a guide exists. The hardest part could be buying the actual battery.

Is this better than Galaxy Buds 2 Pro at $77 Samsung?
I have both sitting in front of me. Buds 2 pro have better noise cancelling and transparency mode. The sound signature is much flatter too. If you want bass, the Anker buds here are much better. The mics work better too, probably because they're closer to your mouth (thanks to the stem). Battery life on the Anker earbuds is a lot better too. I can get about 4.5 hours of noise cancellation on the Samsung buds, but a full work day with the Anker buds.

As for the fit, ymmv on this. For reference I have small ears and almost always need to use the smallest silicone tips. The galaxy buds feel less secure, but are much more comfortable long term. I wouldn't try much more than a brisk walk with them, definitely didn't work for the gym. On the other hand, the Anker buds feel secure as hell. I can do jumping jacks with these in.But the hard plastic bud shape isn't great and after a few hours my ears ache. But again, I have small ears. Most people are probably fine.

Oh last but not least, the Samsung buds app sucks. It needs all kinds of permissions to set them up and then if you remove those permissions after, it won't work. No idea why my buds need access to my calendar if I have Bixby turned off. Only comes with 5 different EQ settings and you can't customize them. Anker app is miles better. Don't even need to make an account and it'll still walk you through setting up a personalized EQ if you want. There's also 22 different EQ presets or a fully custom one if you want. Also Anker HiFi codec is a universal codec. The Samsung codec is proprietary so if you don't have a Samsung phone, you won't get high quality Bluetooth.

Sorry that got a lot longer than I anticipated. If you have any questions about either of them, lemme know

I just got mine in today. Pretty fast shipping, but only issue is they were used. The box was oblivious been open. Worst part is, there is ear wax from the previous user. I have ordered a number of items from Anker Direct (Costco). First time, I gotten a this kind of service. Requesting a return for new ones. Hopefully a one off.

For those who have connect to 2 devices at the same time, like phone and laptop, when you have both devices side by side, which device does the earbuds connects to?
These connect to only one device at a time, unless u have one bud out of box and other in box to setup, as per my experience with pro2 buds purchased 2 years back
