Found in store Reduced to $105

I purchased back around June for regular price and installed in my 1995 Tahoe. This head unit is the one that a lot of people are getting who want carplay/android auto and don't want to modify or don't have room to modify for a bigger unit. A nice bonus is it is wireless and works excellent.

Oh my gosh, this is a great find.

Yes I know. This is is SINGLE DIN but there are folks who drive certain cars requiring single din, most noticeably Honda s2000, in fact, there are review video about it and it conclusively positive.

$100 is much better value…I mean price for the same experience than those mainstreamed double din AA/AC….speaking for myself obviously

I recently installed this on my 02 Dakota, it works great and does everything I want it to.
I paid $140 for mine and even at that price I think its a good deal for wireless android auto.

PS: You will have to download an update for wireless android auto to work.

Don't know if brickseek even works anymore but here you go.

takes up only 1 "slot" in a dasboard, instead of the typical (these days) double slot infotainment sized unit.

Love this thing - I have one in my 1995 Pajero. The screen is definitely small, but didn't require any dash cutting or anything. Highly recommend, it has been rock solid for me since I installed.
Note the wiring in the included harness is made out of the finest silk - you will have to be gentle using crimp connectors or they will just cut the wiring. Solder connectors are a better option.

Yes hence YMMV. If you're lucky, you could find one for $33.00, per brickseek. YOLO mate 😎

Does this unit have any speaker level outputs (built-in amplifier) or is it just line level only? RCA's I cant find anything in the specs stating how many watts per channel its good for. Thats kind of an important detail that I don't see anywhere Maybe I'm just overlooking it. . It's kind of important to know if has speaker level outputs. Purchasing and installing an amplifier is a substantial cost that will likely be more than the entire price of this unit. Quite a bit more if you have it done by a professional installer.

ISO 7736 is a standard size for dashboard mounted head units,[1] for car audio. It was originally established by the German national organization for standardization, the Deutsches Institut für Normung, as DIN 75490, and is therefore commonly referred to as the DIN size.[2] It was adopted by the International Organization for Standardization in 1984.

Head units are generally designed around the single (180 x 50 mm panel) or double DIN (180 x 100.3 mm panel) sizes.

Wikipedia

Some new cars don't even take DIN anymore due to the custom, integrated Audio/System control units. Rip out the oem deck and you can't even control your AC anymore....

Kinda sad. You used to be able to upgrade to the latest technology whenever you wanted. Now, cars are built with nice features, but after 10 years, the technology is archaic and you're stuck with it. Feels like Planned Obsolescence IMO.

I bought the double din version last year. It started smoking, so I turned it off. Once I turned it back on, the onboard amp failed, and it had no sound.

Got it at full price just a month ago. Wish it was on the sale like this one
