Wish I could justify it. I just can't think of enough uses for just homeowner needs.

Kinda is. It's just missing the screw drive. The Hydraulic lift can fail and drop suddenly. A screw drive that lifts the table by closing the scissors is a better design because it won't free fall. It will also lift much more weight. Also the center of gravity doesn't seem like it's in the right place. It looks to me like it would flip over As the scissors close the weight moves towards one end of the base.

The weight on the platform doesn't move at all, it's just that one end of the scissor mechanism is fixed in place so the other end has to slide. That has little effect on where the center of gravity lies. It won't flip over for the same reason chairs like this [wayfair.com] don't flip over.

The HF 1Klb lift looks beefier to me, weighs 60 pounds more and lifts about 25% higher than this one.
ahhh, you're right. If anything this looks to be more comparable to their 500lb model. Hopefully for my usage this will be good enough. It's just to mainly help me load and unload things from my truck

I can see this being useful if you are in the aquarium business. Moving 125 gallon aquariums (empty) is tough, they are over 200 lbs.

This is kind of in-between the 500lb and 1000lb Harbor lifts. 27" height for this (102lb), 34"($300,1K 161lb) and 36"($190 500lb 88lb) lift height for the Harbor Freight. This is 60lbs lighter than my 1000lb Harbor Freight lift. I'd rather have the extra weight and height of the HF 1000lb lift that costs $100 more but I use mine often and can justify the extra cost.

I would love one of these for my homelab. For the 1-2 times per year I pull a server off the rack!

The lift cylinder/piston will fail on this sometime in the future. The replacement cost of the cylinder/piston will be more than half the current cost of the lift. A screwdrive will last you forever. The choice is yours.

do you have the link for the Harbor Freight 1000lb lift you are mentioning?

I wouldn't mind paying more. it seems the height on this is too low.

There is a double height version that the coupon code also works with that is on the same page for $30 more. Twice the height but half the load capacity...

I've been thinking about buying the DeWalt joiner and I am kind of wondering if I could store it on top of this, jack it up when I am using it, then lower it and store it under a work table when I am not using it. Probably a cheaper way of doing that... but this would also have other uses that I've not thought of... yet.I know the wheel lock would just keep it from moving, but not keep the wheels from tuning. Probably not the best use case.
It looks like it only has 2 locking wheels which wouldn't work with the dual pushing pressures you exert while using a jointer (down pressure on bed and lateral pressure against fence). I think it would spin like a top. If you are using a benchtop jointer and small pieces you shouldn't have a problem with 4 locking wheels. I own several of the woodworking mobile platforms to mover stuff around in my shop. They work great because when not in motion they mainly sit on the ground. I know that isn't what you were looking at. Just one guys .02 looking a picture of this thing.

Good luck to you.

I think he misspoke and means the popular Dewalt planer not joiner.

Hoping for a response on this company. I've been wanting one of these lift tables, but...
I bought the 12k mini split deal from them a couple months ago, it came in 3 days, I didn't have any issues to contact them, so I can't vouch for that.
