So.... 3 ton-rated jack - does this rating refer to the weight of the entire car? You see my dilemma - when I lift, say, 2 wheels off the ground, I do not lift the entire car.
Anyway, still $160 "in store only" in NJ area.

This does not refer to the weight of cars, it's the weight the jack is capable of lifting. Most cars are around 2-tons. Also this jack could probably lift twice as much than it's rated for.
