Been on Corelle dining sets and Cambridge flatware (The thicker metal variants) for going on two decades now strong. I bought a couple spares of each a few years back on SlickDeals just to make sure these things remain OCD-viable for the foreseeable future haha. I swear my biggest kitchen pet peeve is a fork that bends when you use it to eat an omelet lol.
Btw. They are matching donations. So for my 75 items ( I don't know why 5x12 +12 + 5 = 75) set 61.xx, I added 15$ on donation to get free shipping. Hopefully, if it ships, the hospital gets 30$.
I'm guessing the 75-piece deal is over since it was removed from the this post. Our set just arrived and it's pretty awesome. The one piece steak knives makes this set even more worth it. These steak knives weren't pictured, so we didn't know what we were getting.
My set just arrived.
I purchased the:
Cecil Satin Mirror 45-Piece Flatware Set
For the price, it's okay and I will make do. That being said, it feels cheap and the knives are stamped with the brand Our Home. The font is fairly large and visible and looks really ugly. I only have four each of spoons, knives and forks right now because I've lost the rest of the set over the years. The current set it's from Crate & Barrel. I was not expecting Crate & Barrel type weight or quality but I also wasn't expecting the silverware to feel this cheap. I weighed the pieces on a food scale and there is as much as a 25 gram difference between some of the pieces, like the bigger spoons.
Again, for the price, I think it's a perfectly usable set of flatware. However, I would not want to entertain with this flatware or keep it for several years. It's just too light and really not attractive. I will be on the lookout for a good sale on Liberty or Fortessa.

Wow, I'm sorry that's your experience. This is the nicest set we've had so I may be coming from a different perspective.
I think that my expectations were completely unrealistic for a $65 set of flatware. That's totally on me. 🫤
Your expectation was 250-300 dollar set which is what it was listed as on sale (75% off). It would seem the sale and/or original pricing was a lie not your expectations.

My 65-piece Layne Locke set arrived yesterday and it's getting sent back today. As someone else mentioned, the brand on the box is "Our Table", not Lenox, and I don't believe this set was ever priced anywhere at $218.99.
The telltale sign it the fine print on the back of the box: "Made Exclusively for Bed Bath & Beyond". It's that BB&B house-brand kind of quality, and it's not all that good.
There's also a defect on every dinner fork... the left-most tine is misshapen and looks like a factory second.

Ahhh, so it's not just me! The branding on the knives is really, really ugly. I could understand if it were on the back of the forks or spoons or something but this is clearly visible every time you use the knife.
Do you have to pay for return shipping?

I really like the set.
Kind of weird that it's the same name but not the same quality.
