Two things I would never buy from Onn
1. A 98" TV
2. Anything over $500, let alone $1,500

Once you get to a TV of this size, it becomes a huge hassle to move around, move it off and on the wall, and move it to other rooms and houses. If you ever need to return this, you'll need to rent a U-Haul and need at least 3 people to help you move it around. Having said this, I thought it was worth it to spend a few hundred more for a reputable brand and get a 5 year warranty with it so I can guarantee I never need to move it around if it ever breaks.

If you can get a multiple year warranty with this ONN, then go for it. I got my TV through Sam's Club with a 5 year warranty.

I wouldn't trust more than $5.
This deal?
Pro: it's big
Cons: everything else imaginable.

Be careful with ROKU if you don't like ads.
About a week ago there was a discussionin here about Roku's annoying ads.
Roku is about to add what appears to be alot more ads everywhere in the platform.

The next frontier is multi-panel tvs or roll-up tvs that are easier to move around. If the UST projectors drop their absurd prices, they will do well too.

Yep. Last I checked, they were looking into inserting ads when video streams are paused. Hard pass. And recently they basically bricked my Roku TV until I accepted their updated terms of service. A full reset, guest mode, and off the internet you go. I'm done with Roku. It's a shame too, because overall it's been a good user experience. Apple TV it is.

Maybe I'm being ridiculous, but who gives a shit what's on the screen when the stream is paused?
