My thoughts are that all new products are only compatible with the new HomeBase 3. It's not a huge upgrade by itself but if you plan to stick with Eufy as a system then it's probably worth it. They are giving you what you paid for your homebase (most likely) so you're just paying the difference for the new version.
I was really annoyed a few months ago that I could not get a new camera without also upgrading my homebase 2, so I bought a Reolink instead. If they would have had this offer at the time I would have taken it. Still have the eufy doorbell.
Kind of annoyed I bought this a while back thinking because it has room for a harddrive I could record 24/7. None of my cameras can other than the ones that already could with the old home base (the hardwired indoor cams). Still the best system I've found for general security.

Eufy really needs to get their act together, their product line is so convoluted; some things record to home base, some to SD card, some 24/7, some not. I love that they seem to be one of the few without a subscription, but it's hard to recommend when you have to spend half an hour deciphering what you're buying and even then you might get it wrong.
Good deal! Ordered it and it cost me 80$ total. Thx op!
No problem, ditto just pulled the trigger myself $82 free shipping. Planning to get a few of the newer outdoor cams and like cxhatchback mentioned you probably have to upgrade the homebase for compatibility.
Also saw this in the details…'There is no need to mail in your old device. Each HomeBase device can only be traded up once' so I could probably sell my existing homebase 2 for maybe $25 🤔

can doorbell 2 work with homebase 3 ? also what cameras work with hb3 ? as far as i know no outside or inside cams will connect to it, except couple big and ugly ones.. i have eufy now, but probably going to switch to different brand.. just dont know which one yet..

From the product page:
Compatible with all eufyCam models, eufy Battery Doorbells (except E8213), and eufy Sensors.
For those of with home base 3 how is the "smart ai" detection algorithm compared to hb2? Have you experienced any improvement specifically with it detecting "human" triggers?

I'm curious about this too.
I have the homebase2 working with a few wireless Eufy Cam Pros. I haven't noticed any false positives with my current setup but admittedly, I have tuned the motion zones and sensitivity on all of them. I'm not totally sure what I get with this setup because my storage is not even close to being full (1442 days and 14080 motions later I've only used 1.39/14.68 GBs).
I also have a DualCam doorbell and a few indoor cams that record locally to SD rather than the homebase.
I appreciate the discounted offer from Eufy but I'm just not sure what the $75 here gets me beyond some potential for the future to replace my cams as they reach end of their life in the future?

Yup... also the interface between camera is different. Its like one button is there but missing from a different camera... or when you move landscape vs portrait and buttons disappears

My other thing that's annoying is I have no idea what supports HomeKit. I know they just announced new stuff that works with it but I don't know what. It's irritating
