DO NOT buy based on promises for future compatibility, they are horrible with following through. I have had Eufy cams for years and am happy with them for the most part, but this aspect had me seriously considering switching brands.

I have their last generation wired doorbell dual cam and apparently it will never be supported. They lost my HB3 sale cause of this.

I think I this is a good deal. However. FWIW, my experience has been that when buying from the Eufy app, the Eufy customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I bought the Homebase 3 on the app and then the next day noticed this trade-in deal. That day, before having received the HB3 I'd ordered a day earlier, I emailed Eufy and asked if there was anything I could do to trade in my HB2 at that point. They basically blew me off. Maybe others have had better experiences, but that was mine. That said, I still think this is a good deal.

Buy another one with this trade in deal and then return the one you bought outright.

I just checked and I have the deal as well. Get in the app and go to the explore section, then up in the top horizontal auto scrolling banner. It will show something like HomeBase 3 %50.

I'm am a little hesitant.

Still on the fence about committing long term with them. I have x2 S220 and x2 solo Indoorcam P24. I would like to go 24/7 but not too sure about their track record. But I also don't know if I want to go all wire with some other brand.

If you are technically inclined, you could consider setting up your own homelab NVR and shop for any brand/variety of RTSP / ONVIF cameras to mix and match for your future needs. The P24's should support RTSP but I don't see the Solo S220's supporting it.

I have a Lenovo M920q tiny set up for 24/7 RTSP recording with Eufy indoor C24 cams, and just expanded the system by adding a Reolink video doorbell.

Traded up for HB3 primarily because of face detection. Currently my camera do have ability to detect humans but not faces. With HB3, I should reduce false alerts and I like the fact that the algorithms are self learning. Hopefully one day, will be able to detect, if Amazon or FedEx truck or even city garbage truck drove by or not by doing a search than manually combing through videos.

Bought one directly from Eufy app and it's always on sale at $100. Meaning Base 2 trade-in value is only $25. Warning! after adding Base 3 to the system, floodlight cam E340 cannot record 24/7 until we install an additional HD to Base 3.

Is this deal still available? I went through the eufy app Explore section and only see the $50 off HB3 which brings it down to $100. I haven't found the trade-in deal yet and would like to trade up an old HB1 and HB2 sitting in the closet.
