The discount code is specific to the home base you're trading. I mean, it's generated when you select which of your home bases you are going to upgrade. So not even sure you could use someone else's.

I wonder if I need to reinstall one of my old home bases in order for the eufy app to recognize it and then list the trade in offer. I'm going to give that a try and report back.

Definitely. The app shows the list of elegible devices for a trade, so I assume if yours is not currently in the app, it will never show.

I have the OG Home base from the Kickstarter promo with 2 of the original EufyCams. Would it be worth it to upgrade to the HB3? I can't seem to find a comparison.

Note that they removed HomeKit compatibility in Homebase 3 (it was in Homebase 2), if that's something that matters to you.

I bought it using my current EUFY app, which allowed me to trade in my HB2 with HB3 for $79. It has been 6 days, but there no email about shipment. Another disappointment is that it doesn't include 16TB hdd. So you need to spend an additional $200-$300 for ssd or hdd. I am thinking of adding a few cameras to hb3.

I never owned the Home Base 2. The Home Base 3 has gotten better over the past year but still isn't great. It is now more likely to miss someone than a false positive which might be worse for some people. At least my wife and I stop musing if cats could be people since they are detected as such and how many ghost we could have living in our garage

I have both the HB 2 and 3. HB 2 is useless. Compared to HB 3, HB 2 only supports old cameras, super short range, slow, storage maxes out at 16GB vs terabytes of data on HB 3. You'll have to pay me to use HB2

lol . Freaking ridiculous. Where does it say you need to 16GB hard drive or included ?it said HB3 support up to 16GB,so u can use a smaller drive.

I don't trust their compatibility list. I bought HB3 to record smart drop footage. It is listed there, but could never connect it. Customer service rep said it is not compatible.

Has anyone else noticed their Eufy devices just stop detecting stuff as much as they used to? I got the 3 pack deal a while back and the doorbell. Used to detect everything no problem, now it seems to only catch people as they're walking away or my car as I'm near parking or turning out of the driveway. Used to work way better. Have been debating what alternatives there are due to it but alas, there's not much.

Neat, I just got into the eufy system with a refurbished hb2 and the dual door can. Was hoping I could get the hb3 eventually, so now I can trade this in no biggie.

How was the migration to HB 3? Do I need to resync all my cameras to the new HB? My HB 2 has been working great for me atm.
