Got them from Bose direct refurbished for $250. If it wasn't for the sticker on the box, they appeared new.
I would strongly advise against that. I purchased a refurbished speaker from them and it was defective, just fyi…

How do these compare to the Bose QC35II? I tried the Sony 1000XM4 and Sony 1000XM5, but those give me migraines and vertigo even after using it over a week.

I've both. Surround sound, following your head movement is great in ultra. If you are interested in ANC only, qc would do. Ultras are super comfortable for long flights. If you can snag qc under $150, go for them. If you are spending more than $270, go for ultra. Btw, those are the least I saw for both of them. So posting for reference.

I am an audiophile and I have a bunch of headphones for. M50x, DT770, DT1990 etc etc and I would say this is one of the most comfortable pair of headphones I have ever had. The noise canceling is extremely good and that's what Bose is known for. The ultra has the immersion mode which is amazing imo. The sound quality is also really good. I would also say these are really good pair of headphones for gaming as well.

I've purchased a number of their refurbs over the years with no issues at all. Lemons happen, even with brand new items, but Bose refurbs are usually top notch.

Exactly, same as Sonos refurbished.
They are like new.

Thanks. I just ordered a refurb. Hopefully I don't get a lemon

I have both and use them daily.

The XM5s get hot easily and aren't deep. The QC Ultras are deeper ears and much more comfy, especially for long sessions.
That said, I prefer XM5s overall
I prefer the overall sound of the XM5s more, but it getting hot easily was the exact reason why I returned them and stuck with Bose.

FYI: Coming from the QC35s I adored, these are a good upgrade but could be much better.
Noise Cancellation is fantastic.
Sound quality is great; but note the usual Bose-esque bass-heavy nature.
Controls, though, are not ideal IMO. The buttons get extremely confusing and I (along with many others) constantly forget which one to use. Also, the volume is controlled by running your finger along a groove between the earcup and the cushion, which is not that intuitive. I sorely miss the straightforward controls of the QC35.

I actually prefer refurbished over new. Most companies double or triple check before sending them out

I've got the 35s and love them. Best headphones I've owned mostly because of comfort plus solid sound and noise cancelling. But they're nearly seven years old. Would these feel like a big upgrade? It's tempting for the sake of newer and better but not a need.

$276 with tax and free ship with the SAVE10 code. Super slick considering 429 full price. I highly doubt BF has a better deal, but in the event they do, you'll still be within the 90 day free return shipping window.

SAVE10 is for refurbished on Bose's website, but this deal is referring to the new pair from Amazon. Also this particular color (Lunar Blue) is not available refurbished.
