They are pretty much always this price. Got one about 6 months ago and could not find a blemish on it. Great knife.

I've purchased 3 over the years. Gave 1 away as a gift and yeah usually the ~40ish price. I guess with inflation one could argue it's "cheaper" but this is the price and I feel it's fair, but not "slick".

*edit* check it out for discount code "CYCLONE" for an additional $2.10 off (at least with serrated version)

I know I paid less for the few I have and do not think I would pay $40 for it. Not a bad knife but not a favorite for EDC either.

The safety lock is the only problem with the Leek knives. The safety lock will last a very short amount of time.

Your downvotes are unwarranted and your statement is correct. Leeks used to be $40 max until 2 years ago. Now I see them around $90.
