Why bother posting 5 links? What do they get out of it? There's another person who posts 10 (probably the same person who got lazy and cut their posts in half) over and over, even multiple posts in one day. Are they mining points or rep score or something? Why? What does that get you?

I just keep an eye on for free books and like to share them once a week. It's simply a way to contribute for those who also enjoy taking advantage of these opportunities.
