For anyone that has never used one of these. This style of heater requires a 120V source of power to run. You will need to have a generator or other temporary power source if you setup in a remote location or on a jobsite.
I mention this because nowhere (I can find) does it say that it needs 120V to operate.

I've got one of these heaters, not this brand, but similar. You can run this on a 20-lb tank, but your propane tank might start to freeze up when it gets low. Also, in my experience, you won't need to run this for anywhere near an hour straight. I run mine for maybe 5 minutes in an attached garage and it gets to over 70 degrees from around 40 degrees. Then, you can just cycle it on for a few minutes at a time as needed. These things pump tons of heat, I think mine is 125,000 BTU to 170,000 BTU. I've got one of these heaters, not this brand, but similar. You can run this on a 20-lb tank, but your propane tank might start to freeze up when it gets low. Hmm could be, I see it happened a while ago to some commenters on the gladiator overhead garage storage which is available at same price right now.

I don't see it on all the hot posts from there, so I personally wouldn't make the claim that it's a common Northern Tool issue without more situations showing that.

Useful information, but I think this applies to all forced-air heaters of this variety. It's a fan that forces air, and the fan runs on 120V electricity. The igniter too.

Should be paired with a tstat, sold separately of course. Kind of disingenuous to list consumption per hour and not realize you won't have this thing cranking for hours at a time unless you like your home like the tropics.
