It is $680 with a edu account. Is this really such a bad laptop? Prive has fallen drastically and if you consider the 10% cash back you can get, it would be around. $610.

it's good for things that you don't need a windows. No online gaming. No Google drive. But most things else works ok.

screen is good. laptop is light. Keyboard is ok. compatibility sucks. Any game sucks. performs like a u series, if not worse. I returned mine when it was $400 with a $500 trade in value for a $50 ipad. But considering people are spending $1k for shitty ipad that is nothing more than a streaming TV with a powerful but useless soc, it may be a good buy for this.

No Google drive/Nord VPN is a deal breaker for me as I sync everything through the desktop app. Also, many programs are not natively supported yet and unless the next generation shows promises against lunar/arrow lake and Zen 5 I doubt developers will invest much more time in the compatibility issues at this point.

you can access Google Drive through the browser anyway. Plus Google will add support for X Elite very soon. This is not a gaming laptop anyway. Amazing personal device and X Elite is faster than x86 laptops on normal uses. So its great at this price for sure.

you can make it even sweeter by trading in lenovo ThinkPad or similar for $200 which you can get as low as $34 on ebay.

Hmmm. $200 trade in with any old laptops as long as it's working. $509 after EDU and trade-in discount. Pretty tempting.

Samsung isn't doing well. So much so the CEO made a public apology. Take advantage of all the discounts.

The lack of a regular SSD is such a let down. UFS drive instead of NVME and soldered to motherboard

It is safer to go with a Intel or amd laptop for software compatibility, unless you are sure you can run all you need on a arm ... The falling price itself is a warnibg sign. There are many lower priced laptop. The potential headache outweight the savings here, imho.

This system is great, many of them are adding support. mcafee anti-virus seamlessly working. Davinci resolve is natively supported n snappy.

For everyday user who relies on windows OS, no issues. Compact light weight, better battery life than intel based one.

This is not a gaming laptop similar to MBA. Not many use cases for on device AI similar to recall (coming soon).
