Sounds like they want to do a big 2nd release of the full game, but it sounds like it will be available via DLC.

If they do - I hope it comes with an improvement in some of the GFX like several other re releases have done, or will be doing. I've never been that impressed with this game graphically -animations included, especially given how poorly optimized it was.

This. The base game's got plenty to do in it. But the Deluxe Edition contains exclusive gear/cosmetics, a mount, and a battle arena. For around $5 difference, it is if you can afford it. But you won't lose anything substantial by opting out.
