Man, the inflation really gets to you. A couple of years ago, I got a combo of the blower, a Hart chainsaw, and two 40V batteries for $138.

I have the 20V version and its been fantastic for light work around the house. Blowing off the deck, garage, and driveway. Very tempted to grab this for the wet Fall leaves. I'm a very novice home user and the HART stuff has been great. I do own Milwaukee for my car repairs, both serve their purpose.

That's not inflation; it's the impact of tariffs. Everything coming from China is subject to an additional 25% to 50% tariff on top of regular duties. Political factors are influencing prices.

Good deal and I encourage new buyers to consider Hart over the Ego brand. Ego bats have a history of failing after 3 years.

That was more of a reflection of a super slick deal than inflation.

It's one of the better deals you will find. If you have patience, have multiple walmarts in the area and don't mind checking prices every so often you may find better deals with in store clearance. Two years ago I got the previous model of this one with battery and charger for 60ish bucks. No guarantee that they clearance them this year and may be store to store. The only store by me that did got closed by flooding from Helene so no idea what the price would be now. You could buy online and return if you found a better local deal.

This product is complete garbage. The max power is a joke and barely stirs the leaves. The handle has the most non-ergonomic design and make using it for longer than 5 minutes painful. The turbo button requires you pushing down with your thumb further complicating the handle design. The air inflow in the back means it is constantly attaching itself to your shirt.
I'm all down for anecdotal feedback - hell, I welcome it - with the caveat an acceptable alternative product is presented for comparison. Barring that, it's difficult to take the list of negatives at face value.

"max power is a joke" - it may very well be, but what blower does the standard power compare to, and is that product cheaper than $150 with a battery?

Are you blowing leaves in high grass, packed piles or while wet? I have to blow off about an acre a few times in the fall and this does almost as good as my gas powered backpack Stihl BR200 (top consumer model when I got it) and definitely moves leaves. After doing professional yard work in my younger days, I do miss having a little more power, but for the price and comparing to similar models it's doing the job. The handle isn't the best and I do shift hand to hand more than I should and the turbo button is awkward which I don't find that necessary unless there is a wet spot or packing, also it socks battery like crazy. Another thing with the annoyance of stuff sticking to the air inflow at the back is a much bigger issue: I recently noticed thay debris like grass and leaf particles are getting sucked in the fan on the back and getting stuck in the center of the fan where it spins. This could destroy the motor and is probably a problem among all types that have this setup which seems to be most battery powered blowers. It doesn't look easy to address, perhaps it's in the manual, but I just noticed this issue yesterday and haven't researched it yet.

I have this one, I agree it's not the best designed blower that I've owned, but it's far from garbage. Mine is hard to handle due to the size and the amount of push back force. I paid about a little lower 2 years ago.

40v blowers are around 1/4-1/2 the power of a handheld gas blower. ive used quite a few different brands of battery blowers. the person you are replying to is likely just used to gas blowers. there really isnt much comparison. its the main tool that simply hasnt been converted to electric well enough for some people... if all you need is to blow off a single tree worth of leaves, you might be fine, but for a serious lawn full of leaves, it is hard to avoid gas.
