Been a Sonos customer for over 5 years now with about a dozen of their products. They screwed up their software/app so badly that I am unable to listen to music reliably anymore. A lot of other users are experiencing this. While this post may be a good deal, it's been hell using their app to do simple things like adjusting the volume. FWIW. YMMV.

I have to say I didn't get into Sonos until just after this new update. So far everything for me has been seamless especially with AirPlay. Connecting speakers has been a breeze but then I was lucky to not have had to deal with prior issues.

I have to say the quality of the sound is standout. I'm not a Sonos fanboy by any means. I was resistant to the hype previously but I really do enjoy the quality of the sound output. The app issues have not been experienced by me (or at least to a very minimum except for occ connection issues)

That's awesome that it's working for you. Sonos sound is excellent when it works for me. My WiFi router is an Orbi that's 3-4 years old so maybe I need to upgrade that. I also have a mix of older and newer products, so that may be the cause too.

Sonos user for 15+years … the last year they have lost all credibility!!

Still have issues that they wanted to sell headphones so bad they ruined their entire ecosystem!!!

I haven't noticed app issues aside from using YouTube Music through the app often just stops...so I use it via Chromecast through the TV through the speakers.

I started with an Arc. Loved it. Hardwired ethernet.
Then added two rear speakers for surround.
Finally just got a subwoofer, I went with the mini, which is a hot button topic in Sonos stan circles, and honestly, it's more than enough boom for me.

I will second those above who say that Sonos used to be seamless, easy, and reliable, but after the 6 month fiasco over their broken updates, my system is completely unusable. I don't mind the look and feel of the app, but nothing works anymore. I would strongly urge anybody considering a Sonos purchase to hold off and see if they can right their ship (I'm not so sure that they care to at this point).

A friend sold his system because he got tired of the Arc never connecting to the surrounds or sub after the broken updates started.

My Sonos purchases are on hold indefinitely. Please take this warning to heart because this is a lot of money for a bunch of paperweights!
