I just visited Da Nang and I love it more than Saigon. Cleaner, more open road, and definitely more appealing to tourists. But still hot over there…ick.

But my one stop was Korea and I wish I could've visited Korea. The people on the airplane were well dressed and polite.

Danang beach is better than Hawaii because 4-5 star beach front hotels are cheap, 2-3 star hotels are dirt cheap at $20/night. For example the 4.5 star Muong Thanh at My An (China Beach) is abour $80/night. However at American chain hotels such as Marriott and Hilton the price is still high, about $200/night. (Hilton and Marriott in Hawaii is about $300/night). Dinner at sea food restaurants at the beach in Danang is relatively inexpensive about $30 to $50 prer person. Banh Mi (submarine sandwich) is dirt cheap at 30 cents and they are very good. At My An Beach, toilet and rinse station are free and clean. However, there are no good waves to surf. You can also visit the ancient Hoi An town which is about 20 miles south of Danang.
