If you need it to be portable, get one with wheels. It might cost a little more, but your back will thank you for it.

Trying to move 50lbs saw on a 30lbs stand sucks.

The rigid one looks 1000 times sturdier and has wheels. But it also takes up a ton more space. Was thinking about trying this since it's so petite. Looks cheap as hell but for 60 it might be worth it. For diy'ers. I wouldn't buy this if I did construction.

There are two ridgid models with wheels. The smaller model is manageable and a lot cheaper too

Exactly - these saw stand deals always start a discussion over wheeled versus stationary. If you have a miter saw and don't have a stand, this one is likely more than adequate for occasional DIY/weekend warrior stuff, and is a game changer if you don't have one. I don't miss wheels on the cheap Ryobi stand I have, but I'm only using it a couple times a year.

$64 at home Depot, doesn't seem like a huge discount.

As I am remodeling my basement, I couldn't manage as well with a stationary sas stand.

I have the classic Ridgid MSUV stand. Not the new one but the one with the solid deck. It is awesome.

It does weigh around 80 lbs though. Love it.

This looks like an even cheaper version of the vevor branded stand I recently bought for $32. Doesn't seem like a deal to me at all.

Can you install some wheels on the legs of these?

Yup. One of the pictures is literally the stand with wheels attached to the legs.

they seem to have discontinued the smaller ridgid one at least in the US. Bought it a few years ago from HD and the page has been removed now, can't find anywhere else to buy it.

personally i never even put the wheels on mine

i use it with a 10in/7 1/4 inch saw so it's easier just to take them off and move separately especially when going up and down stairs.

you can install wheels on this one with the PM-4004 Miter Saw Stand Wheel Kit. Can't only find it on Amazon as a stand, wheels and pedestal roller kit for $172 https://www.amazon.com/Bora-Porta...0D2VRF9T4/
Bora has just the wheel kit for $25 https://boratool.com/bora-miter-s...l-kit.html

Got this and set it up over the weekend, instructions could be a smidge better but had it set up and saw attached in under half an hour, mostly from fiddling trying to get bolts lined up right.

Feels sturdy enough for my purposes (light diy and weekend woodworking), used it to cut up some 2x4s to repair a shed door, no issues and the outfeed supports are helpful. I'm happy with it @ $60 so far.
