What's the difference between this UR8000 and the UQ8000 for $100 more?

The LG UR8000 is better overall than the LG UQ8000. The UR8000 has a much higher contrast, so blacks are deeper and more uniform if you watch TV in a darker room. This comes at the viewing angle's expense, so if you never watch TV in the dark but have a wide seating arrangement, the UQ8000 is a better choice.

If you are not that bothered with brand name, the Hisense on offer is an even better deal

144Hz native refresh rate and more HDMI 2.1 ports than the LG

If I don't care about 144 MHz or number if HDMI ports, does the qled still make it a better deal? Are shows or sports going to be better on qled? At that size I would rather buy brand that will last longer than a new technology that may fail early

I have owned a Hisense for many years, they are one of the largest manufacturers and anyone turning out the volume they do are going to have some negative feedback.

For the most part they are better than all other brands in any given price bracket, but like anything there is no one size fits all. Do your research and but what meets your needs best.

Buying from costco does give a 3-year warranty peace of mind.
