I am looking for a 85 inch TV at this price point. Hesitating to buy the TV as I think the prices will likely drop around Thanksgiving. 85 inch TV or 51 mm watch...its an interesting conundrum.

Ohh...and got the 6.7 inch Pixel 8 Pro for $450 just a couple of weeks back. The phone and the watch together for about 650, but returned the watch.

Depends on your use case. I've used both and the Garmin is much better for those that value deeper metrics, better build quality, and incredible battery life. Not to mention things like the flashlight that works with cadence for night time running (great for running on roads at night).

Not quote as good as the prior year's deal later in december: https://slickdeals.net/f/17156035-garmin-epix-pro-gen-2-sapphire-edition-51mm-high-performance-smartwatch-499-99?attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1
But, a good price drop since the price went back up and has stayed elevated for the entire 2024 year so far.
I am holding off to wait for another drop. I already have the watch, but would purchase it at the $499 price range with no hesitation.

As an user of Garmin and Apple, here are few things:

- Garmin and Apple Ultra are not in same category across multiple benchmarks (training plans, type of body metrics, battery life, flashlight, …) >>> Epix, Fenix 7/8 are superior

- All advertised features come preloaded on Garmin, whereas in typical Apple fashion, additional capabilities via 3rd party apps are available via AppStore for a monthly subscription or one-time purchase, increasing your TCO for Series 10/Ultra.

- Finally, this deal isn't better than Dec 2023 deal where BB had this same version for 699

This was a PM that I missed …

I think prices will stay up because Fenix 8 is at 1099 while Epix Pro 2 (with 95% same feature set), can be had for less, so retailers will try to jack up prices.
