This is mostly incorrect - it's an automatic, meaning it winds as you wear it. This is generally considered different than (what watch brands call) "mechanical" which require manual winding (although some people group those together). Whether you prefer that or a solar-charging, battery-powered eco-drive is personal taste, but this is a very good price for a well regarded entry level automatic diver regardless.

Worst spot for the crown of all time. Not only is it left handed (as a leftie myself they are useless) but it's also at the 4:30 or I guess 6:30 position

I have the godzilla edition of this watch and its awesome. Better than seiko especially now that the skx007 is no longer produced. The seiko 5 sports doesnt use a screw down crown.
The bezel action is way more precise than the seiko. Less sloppy.

Great watch but not a fan of the crown on the left side...my Orient Kamasu is still kicking after 5yrs of almost daily use and many beach trips. also my Kamasu has sapphire and screw down crown.

I bought it. I'm very happy. Well made watch, feels like quality materials. I'm new to the watch game, I have never had an automatic watch but I am satisfied. Bezel gives a satisfying click when turned. The luminescent hands and dots on the face are very bright when they are exposed to light. The strap is a little ridged but just after a week of wearing it,it sits nicely on my wrist. I plan to change the strap but that's just personal preference there is nothing wrong with it.
