I personally own this laptop and would like to share my experiences with it. As with any laptop, there are pros and cons.

Likes:
  • Power of AMD 370 while being power efficient. Bear in mind the TDP is 28W (like Zenbook, but with better cooling)
  • With GHelper, this can be quite an efficient laptop
  • The screen is amazing for color accuracy and great refresh rate.
  • It has a number pad
  • This laptop stays cool under light load, but temps can ramp up due to thin package
  • 32 GB of RAM so it is fairly future proof for next few years.
Dislikes:
  • Sharp corners on front can dig into the wrists
  • At this price point, the touchpad should be glass or haptic, but it is not.
  • Fans will ramp up at odd times like when using iGPU on an external display
  • The speakers randomly disconnect and force the user to reenable them in device manager. This is a driver bug with either AMD or Asus. Seems to happen after I use Bluetooth headphones.
  • On my laptop, the thermal paste was dried out and looked to not be enough. I reapplied and it helped temps a little, but fans can still ramp up.
For this price, it is quite powerful and capable, but I feel that Asus (and AMD) rushed this out to market and there are still some kinks to work out. There is still hope as Asus and AMD can fix a lot of problems with software.
