The Ebay deal has them for cheaper, and you can return them. I bought them from there a few days ago.

I got these awhile back and really like them. I live in MN where it's always wet and/or snowy outside and these are a great hybrid alternative to tennis shoes or boots. Surprisingly they really are waterproof.

If they fit, heck yeah. I fit in most shoes but not terrex as they're too narrow for me. Just make sure you can try and return if they're not for you

Would be a bit more helpful if you included WHY you feel that way...

Can't comment on the AX4, but I have been using various Terrex models for hiking and daily dog walks at the park for years. All have been comfortable and very stable on the rocky / mountain-y terrain around me. Durability is fantastic.
Currently have the GTX Free Hiker mid, they're the best yet.

The AX4 is a lower tier line. The free hiker is top tier and much more comfortable (and lighter). The new trailmaker 2.0 is very comfortable also (and the mid was under $70 just a few days ago). Compared to the Ax4 the sole is about a cm wider and it's lighter.

Summary: I've had most models (Ax4, swift r3, trailmaker) and my favorites are the free hiker 2.0 and the trailmaker 2.0.

I haven't tried the skychaser, so don't know how that compares

Try the trailmaker 2.0. I compared the same size as ax4 and it was about a cm wider. Also lighter and more comfortable. Agree the ax4 and the original trailmaker are too narrow. The free hiker 2.0 is a bit wider but not quite as wide as trailmaker 2.0

It's a shame Adidas doesn't provide more detailed measurements on their website, but at least they have free returns.
