I am a Weber fan, have several of their products, and they are generally better made and last longer than most grills.

But this product is silly. If you are going to drop a couple grand on outdoor cooking, there are better choices.

That's what I did last week - I couldn't' justify the price increase for the side table. I know this is expensive and is a bit of a splurge purchase for me - I've wanted a ceramic kamado for a decade, until I found out about this weber double walled kamado 6 months ago, then I just wanted this one due to the Weber quality and sturdy metal body. I got the E6 for $1000 last week when Amazon had it on sale (watched Amazon and Walmart go back and forth in a price war and got it at the bottom!). It's being delivered on Wednesday, can't wait to start cooking on it - might do this Thanksgivings Turkey on it!

If you read Reddit and Weber forums, you'll find this grill to be considered the best value among Kamado grills. I just helped assemble a BGE XL grilling center (comparable) that was 2x as expensive as this. This is a bargain at $1800.

Although one could argue the side table is not worth an extra $800.

I'd argue the whole thing is not worth it. It's a premium product, excessively priced. I have no doubt it performs extremely well. But it's still a Kamado grill, which means there are $500 to $1000 products out there that will perform nearly as well, or in some cases, better, depending on the cook, the fuel, and the ingredients.

For me, in gas grills, Weber builds a longer lasting grill. In Kamado grills, nearly any named brand will last and the difference in performance from one to the next falls well below the margins of cooking skill level.

I paid 500 for my kamado joe classic 1, brand new with metal side shelves... zero complaints other than i wish I bought the big joe instead. Trying to cook a 16 lb brisket requires space!!

$700 for a cart, and an igniter you will never use. Buy the standalone Weber Kamado E6 from Costco instead.
