I believe Columbia bought them a few years back. I'm a big fan….when it's on sale. Definitely more Patagonia than 32 degrees.

Thanks, mcali! Looks like the selection is down to the bottom of the barrel, so I only grabbed a $19 half-zip and the brown fuzzy Polartec sweatpants. Got the black ones during this sale last year and they're really nice and cozy.

Looks like if the item hasn't been discounted to 70% you will see the difference. Otherwise, if the item already 70% off, you can't see it has lower price.

Check Amazon... they often have MH stuff cheaper than MH. The AP pant in my size is $12 on Amazon right now, compared to $28 on MH's site, even after this discount.

I've found it to be a mix. Traditionally it was more comparable to Patagonia. They still make items that are absolutely on par with that. But I've ordered some clearance midlayers (grid fleece) recently (from Dick's if I recall correctly) that seemed lower quality, almost like a factory outlet version. It's owned by Columbia now and is generally higher quality than Columbia and priced accordingly.

I've been buying MH for a few years now. They do make some good clothes...I get stuff for backpacking (e.g. the Ghost Whisperer down jacket, the stretchdown jacket, the Crater Lake hoodie, and they have a nice grid fleece...forgot the name). Some of their clothes (like the cotton hoodies) are average.
