I was an early backer when these first came out. They've been awesome. We installed them in a a few hard to reach areas. They've worked flawlessly and with the solar they've never once had to be charged manually.

I tried it, it does not have enough torque on a large window

You can replace the strings usually very easily for a couple of bucks with a rod. Search for "blinds tilter" on amazon. It's usually a square rod inside the blinds that has a detachable mechanism at the end that you would need to replace with a different tilter.

I guess they don't make a version for strings controls instead of rod?

Bought a few of these last year on sale. They've worked awesome! I have wood blinds, and they are always tough to open and shut with the dowel. Very surprised these do the trick without any issues.

Right? Not everyone has rod louver blinds.

Is this capable of raising and lowering the blinds?

I have one of these installed on a double wide 96" window that has one continuous big blind on the window and haven't had a single problem in over two years. You might want to lubricate the mechanism inside the blind as that is most likely just misaligned if you can't operate your blinds with one of these switchbots

Never tried the blind switchbot but i had the curtain one, was not strong enough to move thick blackout curtains on wood rail.
