read the details, i think you need to keep for a while otherwise they charge $50 bucks
You'll need email & ID (to verify your name & address) to sign up. Heads up—if want to move to a less expensive rate plan during the next 6 months after getting this deal, you'll need to pay $50 to change plans. Qualifying port-in or new line required. Phone numbers currently active on T-Mobile or active on Metro by T-Mobile in the past 180 days aren't eligible for this offer. This is a limited-time offer and, like everything else in this crazy world, is subject to change.
Existing customers adding a line will need to be on an eligible Metro Flex plan.

If you need to go to a lower plan, you pay $50 extra one time. If you pay just the initial purchase with no auto-pay, what will they charge you? Your concern is valid if you stay for more than a month.

My question is, can I just sign up for one month, like the current deal, get the watch and then not pay anymore?

Seems like it will be 35 to add a new iPhone 12 line, as it is in this deal, plus 99 for the Iwatch + 10 dollars for the line. Seems like a decent deal. You can get the Iwatch SE for about 180 during sales.

Also, i have heard so many stories about scams at Metro stores. I am probably not willing to even try this.

No. I had three orders delivered all iPhone 12s. Tried to add another line twice yesterday iPhone 13 and Moto Edge. Today I'm seeing this message. Also the visible number I used to try to add the lines is banned - says not eligible.

can you clarify what this means?
This would be applicable only if you use a too high amount in the GCs

I wonder if this matters when doing instore. thanks
If the majority of the cost of the new Apple product you're buying is paid for in GCs, for example $500 in GC's for a $900 phone, and you send in a trade-in towards that $900 as well, the trade in credit will be refunded back in the form of a GC, not CC credit.

I only did it online so I couldn't say if it happens in-store.

Call and have them cancel the port from the failed order

Change the card and use a different ip address to order again

For example, I have 4 IPhone 12s currently.
I plan to trade in 3 for $155 dollars each and use the 4th for the trade for a 16 Pro.

the 16 Pro after trade is 899 and then I am using $450 dollars in gift certificates. So I would get another GC for $180? I am confused on the logic behind this.

When I created the visible account to get the first number, then port out to metro. Activated the metro and since the Visible only had one number, it disabled the account and forced me to create a new account with a new email. Can you just do several visible numbers at once on one account ?

Most likely, yes, the $180 would be returned back as a GC, at least online.

This was their notice when I completed the post order trade-in

You may receive some or all of your credit via Apple Gift Card if:

•You paid for your original purchase using a gift card or Apple Account balance. Note: We will send the trade-in credit to you on an Apple Gift Card by email if your Apple Account balance is at or near the maximum limit.

•You received a higher value for your trade-in device than you were initially quoted.

•The value of your trade-in device is higher than the cost of your new product.

•You return your new purchase after your trade has been processed.

Visible only allows one line/number per account. You must sign up with another email for another account if you want to add a line.

well that sucks!
why would they do that?

I will goto my local apple store and ask before I actually do this. I suppose I can use the extra giftcards later but that kind of messes up the deal!

I wonder if its because you are recieving the phone and then mailing in the trade in phone so they need to process the trade in after you have already paid....

i wonder how that works in store.

Yes. This $75 deal also has the same $50 charge if downgrading the plan within 6 months.

Yes, as in we don't need to pay after the month for the watch?
