In my experience, not really (experience = about maybe 1,500+ PC's built in my lifetime). Not including water cooling, my approach to any air/fan cooled case is simply to exchange the air as efficiently and quickly as possible. Theoretically, no case is ideal. If you're going to have a case, a big mesh side is actually better IMO.

Also somewhat dependent on your CPU cooler since they're all the size of buildings these days. With a mesh side panel, a CPU cooler design that faces up from the motherboard vs. perpendicular like a tower is probably slightly better.

The whole deal with negative/positive air pressure , IMO, is primarily about long term dust/lint issues. Helps your case be lower maintenance and prevent blockage of mesh, therefore creating more heat.

For this particular case, I'd probably treat the side mesh as the main intake, and have the top and rear fans exhausting. I generally never like to do intake at the top of the case anyways since it's fighting the natural hot air rising.

TLDR : Big mesh panel generally good thing. Helps exchange air better from inside the case.

There are countless videos on YouTube that demonstrated that the difference between "good airflow" cases and "poor airflow" cases is minuscule.
congrats on the most ignorant statement in the thread.

take your "expertise" over to gamers nexus and tell 'em that they've been doing it all wrong shake head

I have this and airflow seemed fine for a 5700XT and 3060 GPU system. It's a chimney design so the primary direction of airflow goes from bottom case fans towards top exhaust fans.

It's lightweight (thinner metal unfortunately) but feels decent in build quality. It's one of the smallest ATX case designs you can get at regular prices (excluding those niche $150+ case builds); a clone of the Jonsbo D40/D41 design.

At this price with shipping included it's great for a cheap build. I picked up another one to try and build a NAS box using old an ATX mobo/CPU. It doesn't have many HDD space built in, but I believe I can 3d print HDD cages that mount along the bottom on top of the row of case fans. I did some measurements and am pretty sure it can get 8-12 HDDs installed vertically with case fans moving air between them.
Thanks for the review. I'm not in the market, but I found it remarkable to see a $40 case - A rarity any longer.
