It's a better gift if you've taken the time to open it up, charge it, get it all set up, and added games to it... Then it's all ready to go on Christmas day vs spending a great deal of time on setup. I'd consider cracking it open and making it a better gift.

My kids' Meta Quest 3 is still in box, waiting for Christmas. It's annoying I can't buy these deals without pairing the headset first.

Remember to use a referral code before setting up the headset to get $30 and then follow people and have them follow back to use their 15% discount codes for games they own.
