I must also say that I only buy food for myself, this KFC deal is not a 1 person deal, and not a fan of their tenders, they got rid of that last good thing they used to have at a decent price "potato wedges".

If you consider Domino's fast food, $7 per medium 2 topping pizza is decent.

22 mins later, as I'm in the KFC parking lot, the app tells the the order is cancelled (already been charged)
Go inside to see if they got order. Nope. They tell me to try again in the app. Charged again. App cancels order again.
No sweat, my credit card will take care of it.
Ask manager to match the deal and they say they can't as it's online/app only. He says he can give me a "comparable" deal for $30 (was same 12 piece tender meal so not sure how an extra $10 is comparable).
Notice on app it says to call customer support for help with order. Call customer support and ask if they can help me place the order cause I had 2 previous orders cancelled after being charged.
Customer support picks up on the cancelled order after being charged and asked me for more info to make a support ticket. After 15 mins they said they need to transfer me to the refund department. I again ask if they can help me make my order and now they guy says he can't do that.
Get transferred to refund person. Pretty much asks all the same questions. I again ask for help to place an order with the app deal. Guy picks up that order was cancelled and wants to create a technical support ticket. I ask about the refund and he says the charges never went through so no need to make refund ticket.
I again ask for help placing an order and they tell me they can't and to use the app.
1 hour. No food. They did say they appreciate me being a customer and look forward to serving me in the future.

Before it was spend $1 to get a large fry free at McDonalds
Now it's spend $1 to get a medium fry
So I have to spend $5 at KFC to be able to purchase a 5 piece nugget for $1? LOL
KFC and Taco Bell are TRASH - horrendously embarrassing quality of food, mind boggling high prices. You literally can get a nice bowl and bottled drink for cheaper than any meal at KFC or especially Taco Bell.
heck, ending right before this promotion was a LONG-running "50% Off Chicken Sandwich" offer, as posted by jakebeez on July 1, 2024. that offer went and went, and i was able to get sandwiches with a ridiculous amount of meat and a wide variety of sauces for $2.49 each.
bottled drinks are usually horrible rip-offs; panera's "unlimited sip club", even at its jacked-up $15/month cost, trounces them.
taco bell has nice prices on their Boxes (e.g. the $7 Luxe Box), and the "taco tuesday" $1 deals are very good.
