The C.S. Lewis Collections is a must-have for any reader, whether you are a long-time fan or just discovering his work. The variety of themes and genres represented and showcase Lewis's unparalleled ability to inspire and engage readers. What stands out most is his profound yet accessible writing. Lewis takes complex ideas and presents them in a way that feels deeply personal and relevant. His reflections on faith, morality, and the human experience resonate even today, making this collection timeless!!! TY OP!!!

I've only read a portion (mere Christianity, screwtape, great divorce, a grief observed, and four loves), but I'd say it's reasonable to read them in the order here. Mere Christianity is by far the most read of these, followed by the screwtape letters. My favorite has been the great divorce, but in my anecdotal observation, people enjoy the screwtape letters the most.

Whoa, killer deal. I have most of these and more on my Kindle, but this is quite a collection. Looks like all I'm missing are:

A Grief Observed
Letters to Malcolm

Sure, I'll pay $4 to add those.

FWIW, I'm currently reading through the C.S. Lewis Bible [amazon.com], which pairs excerpts of his writing to relevant passages in the Bible. It's a cool way to engage with his work.

Kind of think most of these older books are available as free ebooks in the public domain. A little google searching and you will see. Not that the price is terrible if you need them all in one ebook for convenience.

In the US, I think we still have a few years for even his oldest stuff to enter the public domain. Other countries, like our neighbors to the north, are quite lucky since his stuff is already in the public domain there.

Thanks, I didn't know there was a difference between countries. The website I saw these all listed on did appear to be from the great white north.

Please excuse this question in advance because of my inexperience. I am completely new to audiobooks. I just pulled the trigger on this through the Google Play store. Can I only read this as an ebook or can it be played as an audiobook? Thanks in advance.

This is an e-book, and it contains text only. Audiobooks require a person to record their voice reading the book. You might be able to play the e-book in audio form using text-to-speech software, but that might depend on your device and/or any restrictions that the Google Play Store places on the text content.

In my experience, text-to-speech does not enunciate sentences well enough yet to be a good experience compared to a human-narrated audiobook (although you will still find many enunciation errors in professionally recorded audiobooks). Enunciation requires understanding of the author's intent and meaning in writing the sentence and the surrounding context.

Makes sense and now I feel stupid for asking the question because it seems pretty obvious. 😅. Thank you though!

Screwtape Letters and A Grief Observed are remarkable. The opening line of the latter is unforgettable: "No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear."
