In my experience, text-to-speech does not enunciate sentences well enough yet to be a good experience compared to a human-narrated audiobook (although you will still find many enunciation errors in professionally recorded audiobooks). Enunciation requires understanding of the author's intent and meaning in writing the sentence and the surrounding context.
