they had better trade in deal for this in Jul with ipad mini that would take off $327 and this laptop would cost $307 and at one point it was down to $274. the ipad was some very early generation model that would cost around $35 on ebay.

I meant to say that prices can go lower considering it has hit a low value in past. Also a lot of deals are popping up especially from Samsung, and this has a higher probability of dipping further. Anyone ever tried the trade in? I have an old old Dell Inspiron laptop and Samsung states $200 off with trade in. But only a 15 day return window from Best Buy so I could get screwed out of $200 if the trade in is rejected.

Ok I was checking Samsung.com. Price is $523 for the same computer. It's giving me $300 for a Samsung galaxy s6 lite trade-in. How does the trade-in work if I'm picking up the Samsung laptop at local Best Buy. Do I bring the S6 lite to local Best Buy? Final price with trade-in is $237.49 before tax.

Bad deal. Horrible laptop and I usually enjoy Samsung computers. You can do MUCH better.

I get what you saying. But you never answered my question about who gets the trade-in?
BTW, not that it makes a difference. This laptop is for my SNL. I'm trading in her 2022 S6 Lite and I'm paying the difference. It's a birthday gift.

If it's anything like their phone trade ins, you'll send it back to samsung. They'll send you a shipping label, you need to just package it up and take it to FedEx or pay them for the shipping box. What I would like to know, they list Surface as an item that can be traded in, no models or anything. Well my Surface Pro 3 is a Surface so are they giving me $200 for that?

Same question. If I trade in a much older model will they change the trade to a much lower value. You only have 2 weeks to return the item back to Best Buy. So if you received word that trade in value is nothing, you are out of luck.

it's not an amazing deal so I feel that I will just wait til BF for something better.

They've had this deal for a few days. I got it down to $237 with trade in of a super old gen 2 Mac Air for $300. Still can't decide if I want a laptop with a 15" 1080p screen though. At any cost lol

The title says Intel Core i7, but this laptop has an Intel Core 7, which is nowhere near as good as an i7. The Core 7 has 2P + 8E cores, whereas the Core i7 has 8P + 8E cores.

If you don't agree with the valuation when Samsung receives your old device, couldn't you just request they ship it back to you? That's a basic policy found in any trade-in program these days, like Apple's and Gazelle's.
