$2000 C4 has only 1-year warranty vs. 5-year on this one.

Getting a 77 inch OLED was like when Alexander conquered India and wept that there were no more lands to conquer.

I guess it was kind of difficult to get to China back then, I guess.
Bruh,, Alexander didn't conquer India. He had victories but the Indian armies were getting tougher, eventually Alexander's men refused to continue the campaign and bro had to nope outta the Indus Valley.

For me, looks like the handling of SDR content could be reason to get the C4, the other differences seem relatively minor to me.

Their summary:
The LG C4 OLED is better than the LG B4 OLED for the most part. The C4 has better reflection handling and slightly better SDR peak brightness, so it handles a bit more glare in a bright room, and it has better low-quality content smoothing. The C4 also has better overall HDR brightness, so highlights in HDR content stand out a bit more on it. However, the C4 is noticeably dimmer while using the Game Optimizer, whereas the B4 maintains its brightness, so they are very similar in brightness while using that mode.

Can I purchase this now and then take advantage of the price matching when it goes on sale?

Anyone dealt with Allstate warranty before? Is it similar to squaretrade where they give you a refund of the purchase price if the panel goes out?
Nope, they actually schedule someone to come to your place for repairs. Provide a brief description of the issue and they ship the parts and have someone come over for repairs. I had a problem with my Bravia which required replacement of the main board and it was completed quickly.

C4 has a lot nicer borders IMO so if you're looking for a "frameless" look its a lot better than B4, but otherwise picture is pretty much the same.
120 vs 144 VRR also not an issue if you're using xbox/ps5 because those are 120 at 4k, not 144. It would make a difference if you connected a PC.

I am looking for a 85" but this one is so tempting with Costco warranty. Shame Costco does not carry 85" Hisense U8N or TCL QM851. On the other hand at this size, you could also save ~ 500 and end up with 75U75N with the same warranty at Costco . Yes , the B4 will be better in processing and contrast. But at 500 more ? Tough choice.

is is worth it to pay 400$ extra for the C4 ?
I would say no. I bought the 77 B2 for $1,560 a few years back, and have never felt like it is not bright enough. I would pick this up in a heartbeat! Great price!

If interested in the 75U75N: It also goes on sale Nov.11; $899.99 with 5 yr warranty and $100 Google Play GC. That makes it $700 difference... plus the GC.

Yes , just saw the Costco ad. That seems a better deal given the price difference (900 vs 1600) and same warranty.

The picture quality of the B4 blows the 75U75N out of the water. The U8N and QM8 come closer, but still not on the same level.

Hmmm...imagine that... a TV costs almost twice as much as another, and has better picture quality... go figure.
Better build quality as well. I'm just saying there's no comparison between the U7 and B4, so I'm not sure why it was even mentioned in a B4 thread. It's like comparing Walmart branded shoes to Nike.

I was looking at it too. Any idea on the quality of the 75U75N?
