I upgraded from the Nest to this and have been happy ever since. The sensors are game changers if you have your thermostat is not-so-ideal locations.

Thank you for the heads up. Nov 21, fixed it.
We have a 2 stories house with a single furnace/ac and a two zone controller (with 2 dampers) I have one ecobee on each floor and a thermostat in each bedroom.
Ecobee shows current indoor and outside temperature as well as programmed temperature on its display.
You can tell it to use the temperature from the remote sensors only if those rooms are occupied.
You can tell it what are your home, away and night prefered temperatures and for each week day when to use which setting. These settings can be used for the group of thermostats so they apply to the whole house, not just the floor.
Settings can be overriden for a limited time say 2 hours or until cancelled.
You can also set allowed min and max so kids will not set the AC to 60.
Ecobee has since done alexa integration, security system sensors, cameras, etc. I only use the thermostat part and am happy with it.
You can also allow the utility company to override your settings when they need energy. You dont' have to enable it and you can override that override. (PG&E in california may need to override AC temp to avoid needing rolling blackouts) (If you enroll, the give you $25 and enter you for monthly $500 drawings.)
On top on controlling it from the panel, you can also control it from the ecobee app, from the website and i think it used to be visible from smart things.
The ecobee isn't as user friendly as the Nest, but it's not difficult either, just has a few more advanced settings. Once you get it dialed in, it's good to go.
At this point I won't touch Nest as i'm not a fan of it being a google home product lineup and google gimped the Nest system when they took it over.
