They are intentionally flimsy. Very light with soft soles. Not much for support but they are meant to be comfort leisure shoes. I wear these more than any other shoe by a long margin, but I don't have to go an office or be on my feet for work.

I wish they had half sizes - I never know whether to go up or down a half size in choosing a pair. I guess it is better to go up the half size than have a pair too tight.

Both. They are foam-soled fabric-upper shoes, so they are cheap construction that wear down pretty quickly, but they have a wide area for toes, and the foam is comfortable so long as you don't need stability. They make for nice slippers. One nice bit of construction is they glue a thin leather on top of the foam insole. Synthetic shoes with synthetic insoles and no socks are a recipe for smelly feet, but the leather helps with this somewhat.

I just want to give a heads up I got something similar with the same fabrics. I don't wear them out and about. I wear them around the house and in the driveway to the mailbox. That's it! And mine started getting holes and stuff in the fabric. There 's another kind that's built better. My son got the low-cut boot and he's a welder and they have lasted over a year now. It's a good price though for these shoes but I wanted to share
