Looks like the OP is wrong (or the code has changed) - code "10HPAIPC24" works for me.

Can't comment on the laptop but there's an Amex offer for $250 back $1500 spend so you can max the spec or add some extended warranty to make this deal sweeter.

Note this does not have the great haptic touchpad that the bestbuy 16gb model has. Be sure to compare the hidden specs between the customizable and retail models.

Where are you seeing that it doesn't have the haptic touchpad?

I just maxed out the config but with a 1TB drive. Stacks nicely with a Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC Carbon Black Earbuds +BT700 USB-C Adapter +Touchscreen Charge Case for $100. $1620.83 out the door with tax.
The 299.99 Poly was like $106.

this important detail is buried in the specs section on hp's site for the model and i verified it via chat, customizable has: Pointing device : Precision Touchpad support, bestbuy version has Haptic touchpad

they use different layout, different order and language to describe the same features on both spec sheets, the screen is slightly different as well, with the bestbuy model with 100% dci and gorilla glass, the composite materials may be different with the customizable having cheaper materials sold as sustainabilty/environment friendly materials.

in software they'd call it a dark pattern, id say its just a slimy bait and switch. people are going to expect paying more for the 32GB model (the only way to get a 32GB model) will get everything else the same as the 16GB bestbuy model everyone has seen and reviewed, not with hp apparently

Agreed, that is slimy and indeed you are correct.
The HP compatible Best Buy Model is: HP OmniBook Ultra Flip Next Gen AI PC 14-fh0047nr which includes the 3k oled gorilla glass and haptic trackpad.
Well, time to cancel more order. That haptic is great. Only reason I would get it. Thanks for the heads up!

Picked one up the other day through BestBuy.

Great overall package...Actually impressed with build quality and screen. WIFi7 320mhz bonding is great paired with my home router.. getting full 940 gig performance at 40ft through walls. lol

Swapped from a 2020 M1 macbook air.. No regrets.

now i'm not so sure, there is a youtube reviewer that has a 32GB model with haptic touchpad who even links to the customizable model on hp's site. it was too late for me to cancel my order so i guess i'll see. haptic was very important to me and probably anyone else coming from a macbook.

either their spec sheet and chat sales agent are wrong and the 32GB customizable does come with haptic or they paid this reviewer to be part of a very sketchy bait and switch since i don't see any way in the US to order the 32GB with haptic that he is reviewing

Trying to figure this out myself, given what you found. I'm wondering if the chat sales agent was wrong. The maintenance and service guide (https://kaas.hpcloud.hp.com/pdf-p...n-US-1.pdf) shows Gorilla Glass 5 on the display and a haptics touchpad. There don't appear to be separate part numbers for a display without Gorilla Glass or a non-haptics touchpad.

Interestingly, the guide also indicates that the Ultra9 288V will be available at some point. It looks like the "performance" SSDs are TLC, presumably meaning the non-performance drives are QLC.

HP US sales chat also confirmed for me that the customizable model (14t-fh000) only has a precision touchpad. They then pointed to a separate model that has the haptic touchpad (14-fh0047nr). However, it ONLY comes with the Ultra 7 256V and 16GB of memory. Sounds like they're trying to clear Spectre x360 inventory first.
