Very good mic for the price. It's an older model, but it keeps up and even surpasses mics in the $20-$100 range. There's a bit of noise inherent to USB Mics, but for Zoom calls and casual gaming it's a perfect compromise. I genuinely can't think of any cons at $12.

Absolute steal of a deal at $13. I paid somewhere in the $40-50 range for mine and I've been using it for years.

How's it do with cancelling out background noise from fans etc
Have this and never had to toggle anything with Skype, teams and zoom calls; I play audio through speakers and have this as mic

Just leave this on the foam legs somewhere on my desk, not very close to my mouth

I have this mic, it's great for zoom and recording videos. It has a screw on the bottom to fit it on a mic boom, since it should be close to your mouth.

If you use the legs, you can reduce a lot of the background noise by putting it on some foam since noise travels up the legs.

How does this compare to the last woot mic (bumblebee?)
Also curious, I have this but down for an upgrade (mostly for the black esthetic)

This one says cardioid too though."Its cardioid pickup pattern records sounds that are directly in front of microphone, minimizing off-axis sound from entering your project."
I stand corrected. Thanks!

lmao i have this exact mic

the software is a bit wack (or my laptop is)

Every so often, it'll adjust the gain on the mic so that it's super light and people cant hear me, i'd need to go back into the software to turn it back up.

The mic quality is good. Also i bought this from best buy years ago.

I don't have this microphone, but have it on my wishlist. I think you could do a lot worse for $13.

Looks like it also has an audio jack for headphone monitoring, which is nice.

Looks like this is a condenser microphone, so it might be more sensitive to pickup background noise compared to a dynamic microphone.

I already have a Blue Yeti so I won't be needing this.

Just know that this has a micro-USB port, not the USB-C. Mine is not working anymore, and I suspect the port is broken. In my experience, the micro-USB port tends to break more easily.
It actually appears to be a mini-USB not micro-USB, which in my experience is slightly more durable. But also wild, as mini-USB has been deprecated since 2007 as a connector type, which means the design probably hasn't been revisited in a long time. Probably not a whole lot of technology changes to microphones in the past two decades, but it gives me pause.

I saw that one as well. But I got this one. I'd rather have a Samson than a Turtle Beach subsidiary. Now that I actually looked at it, I might also get the Neat Bumblebee II just for the USB-C port on it rather than the mini-usb on this one.

Yes, you're right. It's a larger one, not the smaller, thin one. I mixed up micro and mini. Thanks for the correction.

Just another longtime user of this mic astounded to see it at this price. Bought it for about $50 like... 10 years ago? It's gotten a hefty workload since then. Can't think of a single bad thing to say about it. Tempted to stash another one in case this ever dies.

Thanks. Looks like neither for me. Both are condenser mics that will pick up background noise even with the cardioid pattern. I'll go with a dynamic mic for zoom calls.
