Good deal but no 50 amp outlet. You want that if backfeeding your breaker box with an interlock kit for whole house power.

It has 240 through a 30amp interlock which will power most things in the house…

Not really unless you selectively shut breakers off to try to pick and choose what is more important. If you have a small house with LED lighting and small appliances then maybe it will work ok if you are not powering central air or heat or electric stove etc. I'd invest in a larger gen then you don't have to worry and you have overhead with a 50 amp circuit. Do it the right way once. Penny wise pound foolish.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. I agree that it's not large enough to power everything especially simultaneously. But you said it was the lack of the outlet, not that it wasn't big enough… You need a minimum of 12k running watts to power 50 amps anyway. So if you want that, you're looking at a different class of generator which will likely have the 14-50R outlet… This gives you 240 allowing you to power a well pump, 2 to 3 ton ac (with soft start), electric range… (maybe not every burner and oven at the same time..) and possibly a water heater… not at the same time…
I agree that if your goal is to power most everything in your house then a bigger generator is needed. This seems like a solid deal if you're interested in a traditional 240V open frame gas generator..

This size generator and a 30A setup is fine for selective loads.

A whole house setup is nice, but you have to keep the thing fueled. A smaller generator powering just critical circuits is the way to go if you want to be frugal about both the initial investment and the fuel use during a backup. A 50A setup also requires running 6AWG wire, which has gotten seriously expensive.

If I was worried about an elderly or infirmed person and keeping things like climate control and maybe medical equipment running, I'd go whole house power. But short of that, it's really just a matter of how much inconvenience you can tolerate for the handful of times an outage occurs.
