Seems like this is an attempt to subdivide wheel cleaners even further. I like Meguiar's but this is too much.

Seems like it, but when you check out the SDS Sheets of the Hot Rim's Cleaners lineup it's very different from one and another. The Chrome has a PH of 3.5 that's more acidic, the Aluminum is 7.8 - 8.8 slightly Neutral, the Black is 8-9.5 slightly Alkaline(More cleaning power), The Wheel & Tire is 13.56 that's Alkaline(Equivalent to like SuperClean or a Degreaser).

They likely formulated different, so people don't mess up their Rims. By letting the product sit too long like various Rim Finishes such as uncoated or factory coated Rims.
