I own two of these. If you need add-ons, get these. I recommend all of these (I own them):

AC to DC Power Adapter (nice to have if you have a wall outlet in the garage)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JGS8CN2

JACO Lightning S2-Series Tire Air Chuck (get the S2, better than S1) - upgraded tire chuck makes the connection to the tire valve easier and faster, unfortunately only sold as a 2-pack
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZHM5W91

Milton S-684-4 1/4" MNPT Male Tank Valve (you need this adapter if you want to use the JACO tire chuck above)

Don't know if this was the problem, but the manufacturer says that every ten minutes of runtime, it needs to cool off for another 20 minutes so it doesn't overheat. It may have shut itself off for thermal protection.

Lowes has a deal on four batteries (2x 2ah and 2x 4ah) for $199 with a free tool. I bought it twice using the router and jigsaw as my free tools to maximize the savings.

As a reminder, this "bare tool" doesn't include a battery, but can be powered by cord which can be a nice backup option.
This typically DOES include a 12v DC power cord (cigarette lighter style). It can also be powered via 110v AC power cord as the description states but this is not included.

Better yet - any place to trade in chargers (which seem to be packaged with every great DeWalt 20v deal)
I'm running out of room to store them Smilie

odd, I had to plug a tire and pump to 42 psi in the summer of AZ, it did it without any issue.
I have had mine for years and it's been reliable, never had a shut off.

I have one of these and use it frequently. Very happy with it. I think I paid around $120. My car's cigarette lighter doesn't have enough power to run it, but works great on the DeWalt batteries.
