Was able to find a photo, so the table is split in half horizontally. So the top is not one whole piece

The complaints about split top desk are nonsense. It's ~$100 shipped! This isn't a family heirloom to pass to great grandchildren. We've had two standing desks with split tops for 4 years, paid almost double. The horizontal split is a non-issue. I've got a desk mat on top of my own desk since I place hot coffee mugs and hot plates at my desk and yeah, generally have a bunch of clutter on my desk too. My one reservation buying the cheapest-at-the-time electric standing desk was the motor wearing out. But honestly, I've never had any kind of motor "wear out" for anything I've ever owned except a Traxxas Rustler RC car's brushed motor. And maybe a 1988 Toyota's driver side window which just rolled slower and slower over the years. Going on year 5 of this standing desk and using the feature at least once a day all this time, I'm satisfied. No complaints. A pillow I've been considering buying costs more than this desk!
