I have this. It's pretty terrible. The pressure it gets is laughable. About the only thing it's good for is washing the car, and even that is debatable.

The battery probably isn't worth the $50 either considering it's only a 2Ah

I respectfully disagree. It's not a power washer and doesn't claim to be. It's a power cleaner, and works excellent for that. I use it all the time to clean the eaves on my house, clean off my bike after a muddy ride, wash my car, and anything else where lugging a full-size power washer isn't feasible or necessary.

Not to mention the bottle connection, which means I don't have to have a hose to use it, which is great for camping with my bike.

Just like any other tool, when you use it for things it's not meant for, it doesn't work super well. You wouldn't say a drill is terrible for pounding nails (I'd hope).

Worth it just for the battery!

Have the 18v version. From everything I watched the 40v battery does nothing to increase power. But this is a great deal for a battery and device. I wish the 18v bare tool was this price.

That being said the device is definitely more powerful than a garden hose. Needed to clean a back patio at my condo. Tried a garden hose on the most aggressive nozzle setting, did nothing (condo has 60psi on outside spigot) . Tried bleach with a hard bristle scrub brush, did nothing. The 18v washer cleaned the concrete paver patio very well. Took a long time, got about 15mins with a 4ah battery, so it took 3 rounds .

This is a very niche device. If you can run an electrical cord and have a place to store something bigger I'd recommend plug in pressure device. But anyone who says a garden hose has more or equal pressure is wrong.

Lastly when you finish using this , disconnect the water supply, and hold the trigger until not a drop of water comes out. Then shake the washer and pull the trigger again, more water will drip out. Try to get every last drop of water out.

Damn you SD. Got me again. Hopefully I get one of the good ones because the reviews are very hit or miss. Not sure how so many batteries could be shot.

I have the 18v version. How are the pressure specs the same? Any particular reason to get 40v over the 18v besides the free battery??

79 out of approx 380 reviews are 1 star - Most say battery is DOA (even multiple replacements).

What the heck is going on with Ryobi and thier batteries? - they used to be considered excellent.

this is awesome. would prefer a 4ah battery, but ive been on the lookout for a cheap tool w/battery. most of my 40v batteries ive gotten for "free" by purchasing a tool with battery and selling the tool online, but i actually could use this pressure washer at our offgrid cabin.

Read a bunch on the 18v vs 40v. No difference except the battery platform. The motor in these does not need the power a 18v battery provides. Something like a lawn mower or larger pressure washer might take advantage of 40v but not this.

However this is $50 for the device and battery and charger. The tool only 18v is $100. So $50 for something without a battery. It's a very decent deal if you want this. I don't want to add another battery platform to my line up (have no other 40v Ryobi tools). Really hope the 18v has a clearance like deal soon. The 3 HD by me have gotten rid of most of the battery power pressure washer models over the last year. I don't think these sell too well to take up shelf space.

The two stores most-near to me had it at $129, but one store a tiny bit further away had it at $50. I've watched reviews and know what to expect, I'd prefer to this to be the 18v version vs 40v, but I'll give it a go when washing the car (and a few other things around the house - I have a boulder that needs washing lol) and either keep or return.

At this price it's worth trying. But it may get me into the 40v ecosystem which isn't great LOL.

Thanks OP.

Anyone knows how can I get a cheap EZClean Power Cleaner Foam Blaster? Or an alternative? Or I can use soapy water with the 2 litter bottle?

I don't want to spend an extra $20 just for the foam blaster.

Socal here and see the same price
Checked my local stores in San Diego and they were full price. I tried my parents' zip in Huntington Beach and there is 1 there. 92649. I ordered one for home delivery at the $49.97 price. That might work for you too.
